I'm going to name my daughter Iris?

Okay, not pregnant, not even married, but in the future (distant future) I want to name my daughter Iris, after the Goo Goo Dolls song Iris...The name I think is absolutely beautiful; but the lyrics are what I love.."I'd give up forever to touch you; When everything's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am." What do you think

I'm going to name my daughter Iris?
My friend named her little girl Iris, because she was just a twinkle in her eye when she thought of the name.
Reply:Look at it this way.........When she goes to school, she will be referred to as a pupil. So, your daughter will be a pupil named Iris! Two of the major parts of the eye!

Reply:I think it really depends on your last name. Some first names sound horrid with some last names. See how it sounds :) Otherwise, I think it's a great song and a fairly unique name. Pretty flower, too.
