My cat changes its iris like in the morning his iris is blue,in the afternoon is black.What does this mean?

My cat changes its iris constantly like in the morning his iris is blue,in the afternoon is black. What does this mean? DOes he have any disease?

My cat changes its iris like in the morning his iris is blue,in the afternoon is black.What does this mean?
i'm pretty sure this means nothing. it's due to pigments (the things that make color) in your cats eye and you just see different colors depending on the lighting, angle, time, ect. that's why some people seem ot have blue eyes one day green the next.





if you're concerned just ask the vet next time you go in for a check up or search online.

Reply:In the moning in full light the iris is contracted to keep excess light out. there for you are probably seeing more of the cornea. In the evening when light is low the iris is open wide to let more light in, thus you are seeing the darkness of the open iris.
Reply:it means your wife/girlfriend snuck home another cat and was hoping you wouldnt notice.
