I have one yellowish bump on each eyeball beside the iris (coloured part) on the inner part. What is it?

My sister noticed a few weeks ago and thought they were strange. I have always noticed them and thought they were normal. It's just one small bump beside the iris on the inside (part closest to nose) on each eye. My husband also has them and I noticed my cousin does also. My sister and kids don't. What are these bumps?

Reply:I'm not positive but I have some yellow in my eyes and they say it is from not protecting them from the sun. I'd go see an eye doctor to find out for sure.

I have recently noticed a dark grayish mark on my eyeball that is close to my lower rim on my left eye. I wear eyeliner on the inside of my eye, so when I first noticed it, I thought it was only a smudge of eyeliner I rubbed there by accident. I used to think I was the only one that could see it too, until my friends asked me what the heck it was!! Kind of strange...
Reply:I have those also. I don't worry about them b/c they have been there a very long time and my eye Dr. has never said anything about them.


I would think if he was concerned, he'd have let me know.


Don't panic but go to your eye Dr. if you are that concerned about them. Rather be safe than sorry ya know?
