I have this red dot in my eye right next to my iris. It doesn't hurt, its just there...what could it be?

The red dot sort of budges into my iris a little looking as though it is pushing over the "color", but it doesn't hurt, and it is very very small...Is it a broken blood vessel or something? Thanx :)

I had that about 15 years ago. Turned out to be an ulcer and I had to use drops to heal the ulcer. The doctor said that it was really close to my pupil and I was lucky because my baby at the time was playing with a laser light, caught my attention and shined it at my eye. He could have accidentally burned my retina or done something to himself.

Mine didn't hurt either. It just looked bad. Go see your eye doctor.
Reply:if it is a broken blood vessel it will go away in a couple of weeks. if it doesn't hurt there is nothing wrong. don't freak.
Reply:Its quite normal for the tiny blood vessels there to burst. I have it too.
Reply:Go to the doctor. It might be something serious.
