My dog has a deformed Iris in one eye that has just come about over the past week what is it?

About a week ago I noticed a discolor in my Border Collie's right iris. Over the next few days it seemed to become deformed almost straight on the one side. The vet does not have any idea I think it may be a sign of something much more serious. Let me know .

You need a new vet. The dog has inflammation in the eye which if treated will end up okay, but if it is left untreated inflammation of the eye can lead to blindness in that eye.
Reply:This could be Persistent Pupillary Membrane. Puppie's have a pupillary membrane that is there at birth and normally fades away up to around 6 weeks of age. Sometimes, a strand can be left and does not go away. Read here. http://www.eyevet.info/ppm.html

Ask your vet about this.
Reply:Find another vet !!!!
